Re-enactment Volunteers Needed

1812 Battle of Cook’s Mills Re-enactment will be held on October 18-19th. Ads have been placed in various papers, posters advertise the battle, banners are displayed throughout the city and buntings are hanging on the various Heritage Buildings. An event of this magnitude needs volunteers who can give up a few hours of their time to take part in this historic event – the last battle on Canadian soil.

There will be a volunteer meeting on Sunday, October 5th from 1 – 4 at the Cook’s Mills Community Centre, to review job description and answer any questions you might have at that time.

The Volunteer Positions are as follows:

1. Parking 2. Garbage & Clean-up 3. Camp Tour 4. Labourer/ Site Prep 5. Marketing/Promo 6. Registration/Info 7. Tractor Shuttle (must be 19 and have large machinery experience)

Available Time Slots are as follows:

Friday, October 17th – 2 – 6 pm or 6 – 10 pm
Saturday, October 18th – 9 – 12 am, 12 – 3 pm, 3 – 6 pm
Sunday, October 19th – 9 – 12:30 pm, 12:30 – 4 pm

If your time is very limited, you may want to sign up early in order to secure your time. All volunteers will receive a T-Shirt and meal.
